Samsung's latest special offer to promote the Galaxy S24 included an unexpected bonus: customers purchasing the new smartphone were also promised a new Galaxy smartwatch as part of the bundle. However, there was a catch—the bundled Galaxy Watch FE isn't available yet.

Bundling accessories with new smartphones is a common marketing tactic, but Samsung has been particularly generous since the Galaxy S24's launch in January. The company has offered extra storage, subscriptions, exclusive colors, and various peripherals to boost sales of the new smartphones.

This strategy has been effective. According to Counterpoint Research, "The Galaxy S24 Ultra was the best-selling GenAI-capable smartphone, commanding over 30% market share, more than the combined share of the next two smartphones." Given this success, it's no surprise that Samsung would pair the handset with a new range of peripherals as part of a mid-season refresh. Including a smartwatch in the bundle not only adds value but also encourages more consumers to join Samsung’s wearables platform.

The next Galaxy Watch is anticipated to be the Galaxy Watch Fan Edition (FE), which will likely follow the established FE model of offering most of the features of a premium device at a more affordable price. Pairing the S24 with the Watch FE presents an appealing, cost-effective deal for consumers.

However, Samsung has not yet officially announced the Watch FE. Consequently, the offer has been removed from the website for now, but it is expected to return once the Galaxy Watch FE is officially launched, with many speculating that the launch date will be June 24th.
