Samsung is gearing up for a significant update for Galaxy Watch owners, introducing a suite of new AI features to older smartwatches. In the meantime, the company has reduced the price of the Galaxy Watch 6 ahead of this rollout.

In the U.K., shoppers can now purchase the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic for £75 less, bringing the price down to £324.00 ($412.13). Additionally, Samsung is offering up to £175 ($222.60) in trade-in value for old smartwatches, with the highest trade-in values going to Apple Watches, particularly the Apple Watch Ultra.

The price cut might be linked to Samsung's upcoming launch of the Galaxy Watch 7, expected to debut at the Galaxy Unpacked event next month. Rumors suggest the new lineup will include 40mm and 44mm sizes, similar to the Galaxy Watch 6 range, along with a new Ultra model featuring a 47mm titanium case.

While the standard Galaxy Watch 6 hasn’t been discounted yet, a price drop is anticipated as the launch approaches. If you’re considering the Watch 6 Classic deal, it might be worth waiting until after the launch event on July 10th.

There’s a strong possibility that Samsung will further reduce prices on existing wearables to make room for new models. Alternatively, the company might offer aggressive pre-order deals for the latest devices, with enhanced trade-in values and possibly a bundled freebie, such as a pair of Galaxy Buds.

For current Galaxy Watch owners not looking to upgrade, Samsung will soon roll out new AI features via One UI 6—the first major update in a while for Samsung wearables. This update will focus on enhanced recommendations based on personalized health data, offering new AI-powered capabilities for tracking sleep, health, and workouts with greater accuracy. These new tools might help curb the urge to buy Samsung’s latest gadgets, so keep an eye out for the update.
